Build

Shopify stores, headless commerce and replatforming.

For teams whose store is the business: B2C and B2B on Shopify, headless builds, migrations off a platform you have outgrown, and the integration work that connects orders to your ERP, CRM and carriers.

What this covers

Shopify stores, headless commerce and replatforming, end to end.

Shopify B2C storefronts

Theme and storefront work for direct-to-consumer brands. Catalogue structure that matches how people shop, product pages built around the buying decision, and a checkout that asks for as little as it can.

Shopify B2B and wholesale

Company accounts, price lists per customer, quantity and minimum-order rules, purchase orders and net terms, so trade buyers place their own orders instead of emailing your sales team a spreadsheet.

Headless commerce

When the front end has to do more than a theme allows, we build a custom storefront against Shopify's APIs and checkout, and leave the commerce engine, tax and payments where they already work.

Replatforming and migration

Moving off WooCommerce, Magento or a bespoke store. Products, variants, customers, order history and URLs come across together, with redirects mapped before launch so rankings and repeat buyers survive it.

Integration with the systems you run

Orders into your ERP, customers into your CRM, stock from the warehouse, payment and shipping providers connected. Built with retries and logging, so a failed sync is visible rather than silent.

Conversion and store maintenance

We instrument the funnel, find where visitors leave and fix those steps. On a recent DTC rebuild that meant a faster theme, a restructured product page and a shorter checkout. We report against your own baseline, not an industry average.

How it runs

Plan. Build. Run.

01

A 30 minute call

You tell us what the store has to do and what is in the way. We ask about catalogue size, order volume, trade customers and the systems sitting behind it. No deck, and no discovery fee.

02

Fixed scope, timeline and price

We come back with what we will build, in what order, by when and for how much. Migration, integrations and storefront work are itemised separately, so nothing turns up later as a surprise line.

03

Build and launch

You get a staging store to click through from early on. Data migration is rehearsed before it is real, redirects are mapped and tested, and we launch on the agreed date rather than a hoped-for one.

04

We run it

The store moves onto a monthly retainer: monitoring, fixes with response targets, platform and app updates, security patches, improvements, and a report each month showing what changed and what it moved.

Why infoloop

We do not hand over and leave.

  • We stay after launchMost agencies hand the store over and move on. We run it: monitoring, fixes to a response target, security and app updates, improvements, and a monthly report you can read in five minutes.
  • Commerce, not only a themeWe build the software behind the store as well as the storefront, so ERP integration, custom apps and internal tools are the same team's job. Nothing gets thrown over a wall to a second supplier.
  • We change what the data saysConversion work starts with session data and the funnel, not with a redesign somebody fancies. We fix the steps that are losing money, then measure whether the fix actually worked.
  • Honest platform adviceIf Shopify is the right answer we say so. If Webflow, headless, or staying exactly where you are serves you better, we say that too, before there is a proposal to defend.
  • One price, agreed up frontScope, timeline and price are fixed before work starts. If something genuinely new comes up we price it separately and you decide, rather than finding it on an invoice at the end.

What you get

Every engagement includes these, in writing, before work starts.

  • A fixed scope, timeline and price agreed in writing before any build starts
  • A staging store you can click through before anything reaches customers
  • Product, customer and order data migrated, with old URLs redirected
  • Integrations to your ERP, CRM, payment providers and shipping carriers
  • Analytics and funnel tracking that show exactly where visitors drop out
  • Handover documentation and training so your team can run the catalogue

Who this is for

Three situations where this is the right call.

The store looks fine but does not convert

Traffic is flat or growing, revenue is not, and every paid visitor costs more than the last. That is usually a funnel problem rather than a design problem. We measure where the money leaks, rebuild those steps and check the numbers afterwards.

You have outgrown the platform you are on

Pages are slow, apps and plugins fight each other, and every small change needs a developer. You want to move without losing search rankings, customer accounts or order history. The migration itself is the project.

Trade orders still arrive by email

You sell to consumers on a modern store and to businesses by phone, email and spreadsheet. Wholesale customers want their own prices, their own terms and the ability to order themselves. That is a storefront, not more admin staff.

Questions

What buyers ask us first.

How much does a Shopify build cost, and how is the work priced?
The build is priced as one fixed figure and the ongoing work as a monthly retainer. The figure comes after a 30 minute call rather than before it, because cost depends on catalogue size, how many systems the store has to talk to, and whether data is being migrated from somewhere else. infoloop puts the scope, timeline and price in writing before any work starts. Anything added later is quoted separately so you decide on it, instead of finding it on an invoice at the end. The call itself costs nothing.
What happens after the store goes live?
The store moves onto a managed retainer, which is the run half of what infoloop does. That covers monitoring, fixes with agreed response targets, Shopify and app updates, security patches, a set of improvements each month, and a written report showing what changed and what it moved. Taking the retainer is optional: the store is yours and your team can run it. Most clients keep us on it, because an ecommerce store that nobody tends loses revenue quietly rather than obviously.
Can you move our existing store without losing search rankings?
Yes, and it is the part of a replatform that gets skipped most often. Before anything moves we export the full URL map of the current store and match every product, collection and content page to its new address, then put permanent redirects live on launch day. Products, variants, customers and order history come across with it. Rankings commonly wobble for a short period after any migration while search engines recrawl the site. A tested redirect map is what keeps that a wobble rather than a drop.
Do you build B2B and wholesale stores as well as consumer ones?
Yes. Shopify supports company accounts, customer-specific price lists, quantity and minimum-order rules, purchase orders and net payment terms, and we build all of it. The usual trigger is a business selling direct to consumers on a modern store while trade customers still order by phone, email or spreadsheet. Putting wholesale on the same platform gives you one catalogue, one stock figure and one order flow into your ERP, instead of two systems somebody has to reconcile every week.
When is headless commerce worth it, and when is it not?
Headless means building your own storefront and using Shopify only as the commerce engine and checkout. It earns its keep when the front end has to do something a theme genuinely cannot: complex product configuration, content and commerce deeply mixed, or several brands and regions running off one back end. For most stores it does not, because you take on a codebase, a build pipeline and hosting that a theme gives you for nothing. We will tell you which side of that line you are on before you commit.
Can our own team manage the store after handover?
Yes. We build on Shopify precisely so that products, prices, collections, content and promotions can be changed by your team without a developer, and we hand over documentation plus a training session at launch. Anything we add on top, such as custom apps, integrations or bespoke theme sections, is documented in the same place. Clients on the retainer still edit their own catalogue day to day. What they hand to us is the monitoring, the updates and the work that needs a developer.

Planning a store, a migration or a rebuild? Let us price it.

Book a 30 minute call. Tell us what the store has to do and what is getting in the way, and we will come back with a fixed scope, timeline and price for building it and for running it after launch.
