What does a manufacturing project cost with infoloop?
We quote a fixed price for a fixed scope, so you know the number before work starts rather than after. The way to get that number is a 30 minute call: we ask how many plants, how many people, what shifts look like, and what systems you already run. From there we write down what is being built, in what order and by when, with a price attached. You approve it before anything begins. After go-live, running the system is a separate monthly retainer, quoted at the same time so there is no surprise. Changes to scope during the build are possible, but they get priced and agreed rather than absorbed quietly.
Have you actually built software for manufacturers before?
Yes. We have built attendance across three manufacturing plants, covering shift patterns, contract labour and the export payroll needs. We have also built a machinery ERP covering orders, inventory and job tracking. That is the manufacturing work we can point to, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a longer list. For work outside that, such as an AI agent trained on your service manuals or a Shopify store for a direct-to-customer line, we describe it as capability: it is what we build, and we will tell you honestly on the call whether your case is close to something we have done or genuinely new to us.
What happens after the system goes live?
The run retainer starts. That means we monitor the system, fix problems within agreed response targets, apply security updates, and make improvements as the plant's needs change. You get a monthly report covering uptime, what was done, what was raised and what we suggest next. This is the part most agencies do not offer. They deliver, hand over documentation and move on, and a year later nobody knows how to change anything. Our position is that software in a plant is not finished at go-live, it is only started, and the team that built it should be the team that keeps it working.
Will this work with the systems we already have?
Usually, yes. Most plants we speak to already run something for accounts, and often a machine log or a set of spreadsheets that matter more than anyone admits. We take on the integration work so data moves once rather than being typed in twice. On the call we ask what you run and where the data currently gets re-entered by hand, because that is normally where the time goes. If a system you use has no sensible way to connect, we say so up front and propose an export-and-import route instead, rather than promising a live integration that we cannot deliver.
How long does it take to roll out across multiple plants?
We roll out one plant at a time rather than switching everywhere at once. The first plant takes longest, because that is where you discover the shift pattern nobody mentioned and the gate where contractors sign in differently. Later plants go faster, since the system is proven and the surprises are mostly behind you. The timeline is agreed in writing before the build starts and depends on how many plants, how many shift patterns and how much integration is involved. We would rather commit to a date we can meet than quote an optimistic one and then explain the slippage.
Do we need to change how the plant works to use your software?
No, and we would push back if a vendor told you otherwise. Software that fights how a plant actually operates gets bypassed within a fortnight, with supervisors keeping a parallel spreadsheet and the system quietly becoming fiction. We build around your shift patterns, your contractor arrangements and the way your supervisors already record things. Where we do suggest a change, it is because the current process is causing the problem you asked us to fix, and we explain the reasoning rather than simply imposing it. Supervisors and operators try the system during the build for exactly this reason.
