Build

Custom web development for teams that have outgrown the template.

Marketing sites and web applications built in code, for businesses whose site now has to do real work: logic, data, accounts and integrations. We scope it, build it, and we can run it after launch.

What this covers

Custom web development for teams that have outgrown the template, end to end.

Custom marketing sites

Design-led sites built in code rather than assembled from a theme. You get the layout you drew, page speed that holds on a phone, and a CMS your marketing team can edit without opening a support ticket.

Web applications

Quoting tools, dashboards, booking flows, internal admin. The work your business currently does in spreadsheets and email threads, rebuilt as something with rules, an audit trail and one version of the truth.

Customer portals and logged-in areas

Accounts, roles and permissions on top of your public site, so customers, staff and resellers each see their own view. Sign-in, password reset and session handling done properly rather than bolted on.

Headless CMS builds

A front end in code with the content in Webflow CMS or Strapi. Editors get proper fields and previews, developers get an API, and neither side has to ask the other for permission to make a change.

Integrations and APIs

The site talks to the systems you already run: CRM, ERP, payment, stock, email. We build the connections, handle failures deliberately, and log enough that you can see what happened when something does not arrive.

Replatforming and rebuilds

Moving off a theme, page builder or ageing CMS without losing what already ranks. URLs mapped, redirects written, content migrated, and the old site kept live until the new one is proven.

How it runs

Plan. Build. Run.

01

A 30 minute call

You tell us what the site or app has to do and what is in the way. We ask about your stack, your team and your deadline. By the end of it we can usually say whether this needs custom code at all.

02

Fixed scope, timeline and price

We write down what is being built, what it costs and when it lands. You approve that document before any code is written, and it is what we are held to. Anything outside it is a separate conversation, not a surprise invoice.

03

Build in the open

Work goes to a staging URL you can open whenever you like. You see real screens instead of status reports, and changes are cheap while things are still on staging rather than after launch.

04

Launch, then run

We deploy, watch the first weeks closely, and hand over the repository, the accounts and the documentation. From there you can run it yourselves or put it on our we-run retainer.

Why infoloop

We do not hand over and leave.

  • We run what we buildMost agencies hand over at launch and the site quietly rots. We offer a retainer with monitoring, fixes to a response target, improvements, security updates and a monthly report.
  • A price before the work, not afterScope, timeline and price are fixed at the end of the scoping call and written down. You are not buying hours and hoping, and we carry the risk of our own estimate.
  • We will talk you out of itWe build Webflow and Shopify too, so we have no reason to push a custom build you do not need. If a template or a no-code platform covers it, we will say so on the first call.
  • You own all of itThe repository, the hosting accounts, the domain and the environment variables are in your name from the start. Nothing is licensed back to you, and leaving us costs you nothing but notice.
  • Built for the next developerPlain patterns, readable code, a written handover and no clever tricks only we understand. Whoever picks this up after us, in-house or otherwise, should be able to work out how it fits together.

What you get

Every engagement includes these, in writing, before work starts.

  • A design system in code: type scale, colours, spacing and reusable components.
  • A responsive front end built to hold its speed on a mid-range phone, not just a laptop.
  • A CMS your team can edit without us, on Webflow CMS or Strapi.
  • Semantic markup, metadata, schema, an XML sitemap and redirects from every old URL.
  • A staging environment and a deploy pipeline, so releases are not a manual upload.
  • Repo, hosting accounts, environment variables and a written handover, all in your name.

Who this is for

Three situations where this is the right call.

Your site has to do more than publish pages

There is a quote calculator, a gated area or a pricing rule the marketing site now has to carry, and it is being held together with plugins and embeds. Every new requirement takes longer than the last one.

The theme is fighting you

You are on a template with a stack of plugins. Small changes need a workaround, the pages are slow, and every platform update is a day of holding your breath. The design has drifted from the brand it started as.

A process still living in spreadsheets

A real part of the business runs on shared spreadsheets, email threads and one person who knows the file. It works until they are on holiday. It needs to be an application with rules, permissions and a record of who changed what.

Proof

Software we built, and still run.

Questions

What buyers ask us first.

What does a custom web build cost?
We do not publish a rate card, because the same brief can be a four-page site or a logged-in application. Price is driven by how many distinct screens there are, how much logic sits behind them, how many systems it has to talk to, and whether existing content has to be migrated. After a 30 minute call we write a fixed scope, timeline and price, and you approve that before anything is built. You are not buying hours, and if our estimate is wrong that is our problem rather than a change request.
Should we build custom or just use Webflow or a template?
Start with the template. If your site is mostly pages, images and a blog, a Webflow build will be faster to launch and cheaper to run, and we build those as well. Custom code earns its cost when there is logic behind the pages: accounts and permissions, calculations, data coming from another system, or a content model the platform cannot express. The usual signal is a stack of plugins doing something the platform was never meant to do. We will tell you which side of that line you are on before you commit.
How long does a custom web development project take?
It depends on scope, and we will not quote a duration before we understand what is being built. What we will do is give you a date at the end of the scoping call, in writing, alongside the price, and then work to it. Longer builds are broken into releases so something is live and usable before the whole thing is finished. If a hard deadline exists, tell us on the first call, because it changes what we recommend building first rather than how fast we type.
What happens after the site or app goes live?
You can take it away or leave it with us. Either way you get the repository, the hosting accounts, the environment variables and a written handover at launch. If you want us to keep it running, our we-run retainer covers monitoring, fixes to an agreed response target, small improvements, dependency and security updates, and a monthly report on what changed and what it did. Software decays quietly, so this is the part most builds are missing rather than an upsell.
Do we own the code, or are we locked in?
You own it. The repository, the domain, the hosting and any third-party accounts are created in your name at the start of the project, not transferred at the end when everyone is tired. We build on standard tooling rather than a proprietary framework of our own, so another developer can pick it up. There is no licence to renew, no per-seat fee for your own site, and ending a retainer takes notice rather than negotiation.
Will rebuilding the site damage our search rankings?
It can, if the URLs move and nothing catches them. Before anything is switched over we crawl the existing site, list every URL that has traffic or links, and map each one to its destination. Redirects are written and tested on staging, metadata and structured data are carried across, and the pages that earn your traffic are rebuilt first rather than last. After launch we watch coverage and search performance, because problems show up in the weeks after the switch rather than on the day.

Outgrown the template? Let us scope the build.

Book a 30 minute call. We will tell you honestly whether this needs custom code or a platform you already have, and if it needs building you get a fixed scope, timeline and price before we start.
