What buyers ask us first.

Do you build a learning platform from scratch or configure an existing one?
Both, and usually a mix. infoloop has a ready-built LMS and testing platform that already covers courses, cohorts, assessments, certification and reporting, so most engagements start there and we build only what is specific to your organisation. Where you already run an off-the-shelf LMS, we can extend it, integrate it with your other systems, or replace the parts it cannot do. The 30 minute call is where we work out which of those is cheaper for you, and the answer goes into a fixed scope before anything is built.
How do you handle exam day, when everyone logs in at once?
Peak load is the defining constraint of a learning platform. Assessment traffic is not spread through the week; it lands in a window, often the same window for every learner. We size for the busiest sitting you expect, load test against it before go-live rather than after, and keep a rollback path if a release goes wrong. Once live, the platform sits under monitoring with alerting, and infoloop holds 99.9% uptime across the systems it runs. Timed sittings, attempt limits and auto-save are built so a dropped connection does not cost a learner their paper.
What does it cost and how is an engagement structured?
Every engagement starts with a 30 minute call, then a fixed scope, timeline and price before any code is written. You are not billed by the hour against an open-ended discovery. Price depends on how much of the ready-built LMS and testing platform fits your needs and how much is specific to you, so the call is where that gets decided. After launch, running the platform is a separate monthly retainer covering monitoring, fixes to an agreed response target, security updates, improvements and a written monthly report. Both numbers are on the table before you commit.
What happens after launch?
We run it. That is the second half of what infoloop does, and it is a retainer rather than a favour. It covers monitoring and alerting, fixes to an agreed response target, security and dependency updates, and a queue of improvements you prioritise. Every month you get a written report: what changed, what broke, what we fixed and what is next. The people who built the platform are the people who maintain it, so there is no handover to a support desk that has never seen the code.
Who owns the learner data, and how do you handle records and retention?
You own the data and the code. Learner records, attempt logs and certificate history are yours, and we build export routes so you can get all of it out in a usable format without asking us. Retention rules are set by you and enforced by the platform, so records are kept as long as your awarding body, regulator or employer contracts require and no longer. Attempt logs and marker actions are timestamped and kept immutable, which is usually what an auditor actually wants to see. Hosting region can be pinned where your obligations require it.
Can you migrate our existing courses, learners and certificates?
Yes, and it is normally a defined phase of the build rather than an afterthought. We map what you hold now, whether that is an existing LMS export, SCORM packages, spreadsheets or a mix, and agree what carries over: learner records, completion history, certificates and their expiry dates, and question banks. Migration runs as a rehearsed job, tested on a copy first, so you can see the result before it becomes live. Where old content has to keep working, we support SCORM and xAPI rather than asking you to rebuild every course.
